Lighting Ideas For Bathroom

SIMPLE SCONCES

Straightforward lighting offers striking contrast to this busy Finnish wallpaper in the 1950s adorning the walls of the Manhattan flat powder room, decorated by Katie Ridder. Hanging above a simple yet stylish Waterworks sink, a classic FontanaArte mirror echoes the wall color.

LOW-HANGING LAMP

Designer Darryl Carter creates a master bath that is true to his Virginia farmhouse's origins by employing a simple lamp he made for the Urban Electric Co., a sink vanity made out of a walnut table, plus a slender mirror that sits in the front of the windows, best custom bathtub glass enclosures.

CRYSTAL SCONCES AND SHALLOW CEILING LIGHT

The master bath sinks by Urban Archaeology have Dornbracht fittings in this glamorous West Village loft. The seat cushion is covered in a Holland & Sherry terry cloth, the ceiling lighting and sconces are 1960s Italian, and the floor is granite.

CANDLE SCONCES

In the guest tub of this Los Angeles farmhouse, a chair is upholstered in the California state flag, the fixtures and sink are by Waterworks, the habit wallcovering is by Nathalie Lété, and the door is painted in Farrow & Ball's Studio Green.

GOLDEN SCONCES

The powder room within this Hudson River rancher mural is by Shantell Martin and the wainscoting is painted in Benjamin Moore's Midnight.
